Useful tips:
Application: Here you have several options:
a) Simple stain: For more Peaches and Cream colouring
You can use the So Real! © PVC Colours in the same way as you would with the Genesis paint, thin it down with plenty of water.
First select a shade off the colour for your baby from the outside vinyl colour. You have the opportunity to achieve according to taste individual colour schemes. You should take into account the shade of hair and eyes you will be using.
If you have decided on a colour, the colour initially diluted 1:3 with water or So Real! © PVC Colour Thinner. We recommend that you use either water or the thinner, mixing the two can confuse the process.
Then take a baby wet wipe (no oil cloth!), Wrap this around your index finger and take up a little colour. The cloth should be now too wet, dab your finger onto an old towel before you go on the vinyl.
Then rub the paint evenly and thinly into the vinyl parts. In this case, you should exercise just a little pressure, so that the pigments responsible not only on the surface, otherwise they can be very easy to remove. As with all staining methods also follow the principle: Less is more! I would rather go several times over the bodies to be coloured than once too strong! When the paint is drawn into the vinyl, it is smudge and water resistant.
You can just as you emphasize the following points of the baby from the outside (blush):
- Cheeks
- The nose
- Chin
- The end
- Back of the hand, elbow and the outside of the arms
- Foot, feet, knees, and the outside of the legs
As long as the paint is still wet, you can correct its colour intensity. You would get a more intense result if the baby wipes washed before use in clear water. However, a bit of flair and practice is required!
The same colour you can use to paint the lips of the baby. Contextual changes to the colour that you have previously used for colouring the cheeks so that the colours in the face look uniform. The colour of the lips should be more diluted, so that it shines only slightly transparent.
! B) Multi-layer colour in the So Real © Skin Technology:
This staining method is defined as the application of the dye solution in several thin individual layers. Basis for an optimal three-dimensional colouring success is also the mixture of So Real! © PVC Colours in the ratio 1:3 with water or So Real! © PVC Colour Thinner.
1. Primer: In order to achieve the most uniform coat of the skin, it begins with a skin-tone (eg, Unbleached Titanium, Skin Tone Light Skin Tone Base, Fawn), and a bit of a brown tone (eg, Brown Earth, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber). Then this mixture is diluted with water or So Real! © PVC Color Thinner.
Will then use a bristle brush (also available in our range) in order to incorporate colour solution. Take your *Bulb Brush* and pick up some paint, now you need to pounce the bristles onto the vinyl, quite hard, like a stippling motion until the vinyl is completely dry.
Because of the continuous movement of the Bulb-bristle brush you will have made a visible pore structure. You can repete this stage one or two times, however, make sure that your baby is not "chalky". With a very red or pink base to the vinyl you can use a little bit of Sap Green to neutralize the vinyl colour.
2. Blushing: After you've primed your baby consistently, you should wait a while until the colours are dried off completely. Then you can start with the Blushing.
Here is where you can be very creative, mix up a darker skin tone using (Brown Earth, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber) with water or So Real! © New PVC Colour Thinner on. Pick up some of your paint on your *Bulb Brush and highlight the high area’s listed below. Here, however, do not cover the whole vinyl, but only individual points in order to achieve a vibrant lustrous skin effect. Then repeated the same dyeing process again with a new mixed red clay of your choice (eg Plum Pink, Rose Pink, Burgundy, Indian Red Oxide). Finally you can intensify the colour with your already mixed shade of red again the following locations of your baby:
- Cheeks
- The nose
- Chin
- The end
- Fingers, back, hands and elbows inside
- Toes, feet, soles of the feet and knees
Individual creases can also be highlighted with a fine brush to stress - pays attention to the fact that the total colouring is not too strong. With a Large 1” Mop Brush blend the creases so they do not look sore.
3. Veins and capillaries: You can now have a few fine veins and capillaries are distinguished. It uses a violet tone (eg, Red Violet, Transparent Yellow, Pthalo Blue and Dioxadine Purple) and dabbed it with a very thin brush in a somewhat more concentrated form on the vinyl. Here's a little exercise is necessary, because the veins were later not to appear thick and barely visible.
Finally, you can as desired with the lips and Nails So Real! © PVC Colour Sealer or our special So Real! © Liquid Vinyl Sealer in satin or gloss permanent seal.
